Machinist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Mid-State Machine in Van Wert, OH. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for machining parts of various sizes using lathes, horizontal and vertical boring mills, knee-mills, grinders, saws, and other equipment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced industrial setting.

• Perform turning, threading, boring, and facing operations in various size lathes.
• Operate miscellaneous machines including saws, grinders, shapers, key-seaters, radial arm drills, and threading machines.
• Routinely rig and handle parts weighing up to 40,000 lbs.
• Transport parts utilizing forklifts, overhead cranes, jib cranes, etc.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches.

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, gearboxes, piping, and large-scale mechanical assemblies is required.
• Employee must be dependable and capable of frequently working long hours.

This position is located at 1171 Grill Road, Van Wert, OH 45891. The working environment can be harsh at times, with exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment/machinery, and other safety-sensitive hazards/risks.
