POSITION SUMMARY:

The Corporate Consolidations Accountant plays a crucial role in the financial operations of the organization, reporting directly to the Corporate Consolidations Controller. This position is essential for ensuring precise cash management and facilitating the month-end closing processes for the parent company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute and document journal entries, including routine monthly entries, cash transactions, reclassifications, and additional entries as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Oversee daily cash reconciliations and compile month-end bank reconciliations.
  • Generate and record customer and intercompany invoices.
    • Evaluate, authorize, and document cash receipts.
  • Coordinate ACH and wire transfers for accounts payable and payroll disbursements.
  • Reconcile expenses related to marketing events and prepare the corresponding intercompany entries.
  • Support balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist the Corporate VP with corporate consolidation entries and reporting obligations.
  • Aid the Corporate VP in addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Complete various ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting is essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP is required, specifically ASC 805 and ASC 810.
  • Prior experience in corporate consolidations and intercompany reconciliations is necessary.
  • Experience in the Commercial Real Estate or Property Management sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Yardi and/or Workday accounting software is beneficial.
  • Proficient to advanced skills in Excel are required.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality is crucial.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and capability to manage extensive financial data are essential.
  • A commitment to working collaboratively in a productive team environment and sharing information with colleagues as appropriate is important.
