The Senior Automotive Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles, performing routine maintenance, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring that all vehicles operate efficiently and safely.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles.
- Conduct routine maintenance and suggest necessary repairs to enhance vehicle performance.
- Keep abreast of advancements in automotive technology to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of all repair work and services performed.
- Carry out emissions inspections, safety evaluations, and other state-mandated vehicle assessments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or level 4 technical training program in automotive repair with at least 7 years of hands-on experience.
- Demonstrated experience as an automotive technician, showcasing strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities.
- Skilled in utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment, along with computerized automotive repair systems.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair techniques across various makes and models.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical capability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
- Certified Master Technician and ASE certification or equivalent automotive repair certification is mandatory.

Work Environment:
Work is performed in automotive repair facilities where exposure to noise, fumes, and hazardous materials is common. Adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment is essential. Flexible work schedules may include evenings or weekends. The work environment is fast-paced, and employees may encounter moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Regular exposure to electrical hazards and vibrations is also present.
