The Department of Sociology at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for an adjunct position in Sociology to teach courses in the field of Sociology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory courses such as Principles of Sociology and Social Problems. Classes will be offered face-to-face during the day, with a typical schedule of Monday/Wednesday/Friday.

Responsibilities include teaching up to 14 hours of introductory physics courses in one academic year. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and practicing teaching strategies that actively engage students both inside and outside the classroom. Additionally, interest or experience with PBL, PER, and undergraduate student research are highly valued.

Qualifications for the position include a Master's degree in physics and/or geophysics, with a PhD preferred. Teaching experience is also strongly preferred.
