Water Sports Coordinator

Dedham Health and Athletic Complex is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Aquatic Programs Manager to oversee all aspects of our aquatic programs. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, fun, and educational environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement aquatic programs, including swim lessons, water aerobics, and special events, to meet the needs of our diverse membership.
- Supervise and support lifeguards, swim instructors, and other aquatic staff, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols and are properly certified.
- Monitor pool facilities to ensure they meet safety standards, including water quality and equipment maintenance, to provide a clean and healthy environment for our members.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patron inquiries and resolving any issues related to the aquatic facilities or programs.
- Manage the budget for aquatic programs, staff scheduling, and facility usage to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the pool area.
- Respond to emergencies, provide first aid, and enforce all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for our members.
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sports Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in aquatics or recreation management.
- Current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid (required).
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certifications (preferred).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
