About the Role

Solugenix Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing all direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting for our client, a leading manufacturer of commercial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute tax compliances related to all aspects of business.
  • Share monthly information with the consultant and ensure proper filing for sales and use tax and GST/HST/PST/QST.
  • Manage documentation and reconciliation related to sales tax data, including filling, payments, Vertex, resale certificates, and reconciliation to the trial balance.
  • Share quarterly and annual information to the consultant for corporate income tax and manage the PBC.
  • Ensure proper payment and filing of corporate income tax, including advance payment, state, and federal income tax.
  • Review complete annual corporate income tax return, including current and deferred income tax.
  • Prepare information related to 263A and R&D tax credit for corporate income tax return.
  • Manage business reporting to the corporate consolidation team, including semi-annual current and deferred income tax and annual schedules of all business tax risk.
  • Prepare and provide requested information to the consultant related to transfer pricing.
  • Responsible for maintaining all supporting documents and agreements.
  • Manage other tax and statutory compliance and reporting related to business, including property tax, withholding tax, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain a checklist related to state-wise business registrations, due dates, and status.
  • Review all business processes to ensure compliance.
  • Liaison with internal and external resources to implement robust processes and system controls.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of all applicable business laws and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of tax code and changes in tax regulations.
  • Experience in transfer pricing.
  • International sales tax (USA, Mexico, Canada).
  • Working experience with monthly tax filling and payments.
  • Experience with state and federal tax audits and assessments.
  • Exposure to international taxation.
  • Knowledge and experience of any major ERP (SAP, Oracle).
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
