Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Join our team of dedicated professionals at UHS as a Special Education Teacher. As a member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will provide direct education services to students, utilizing your knowledge and skills in crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation to create a safe environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students on your educational case load.
  • Provide daily written plans based on curriculum, core/state standards, and IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure comprehensive care for students.
Qualifications:
  • Special Education Teacher Certification in the State of Illinois (Type 10 LBS I Limited or Unlimited).
  • Bachelor's degree in Education preferred.
  • Teaching experience in a special education setting preferred.
