Job Summary:

Turck Inc. is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will work closely with the engineering departments and other teams to assemble and train on new products using new and/or existing tooling and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain Workflow and Consistent Output: Work with common production equipment, such as wire cutting, stripping, tinning, crimping, soldering, testing fixtures, potting, printing, scales, label printers, stamping, and packaging equipment, to ensure efficient production.
  2. Perform Ongoing Audits: Conduct self-executed audits of all products and processes with attention to detail and quality, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  3. Coordinate Training: Train manufacturing floor personnel on new products with new tooling and processes as needed, ensuring seamless integration into production.
  4. Work with Manufacturing Routers: Utilize manufacturing routers, work orders, drawings, bills of material, and special instructions in written, verbal, and computerized form to manage production.
  5. Operate Specialized Equipment: Work with devices such as multi-meters, micrometers, rulers, cable scanners, computer test equipment, and others as required to perform daily tasks.
  6. Maintain a Clean and Orderly Work Environment: Perform routine machine maintenance, daily upkeep, cleaning of workstations and surrounding areas, and follow safety rules to ensure a safe working environment.
  7. Communicate Effectively: Demonstrate strong communication skills and share experience and techniques with other team members, showing personal initiative and drive to learn new things.
  8. Operate Sophisticated Production Equipment: Operate automated and semi-automated wire processing machines, pad printing equipment, specialized potting equipment, marking laser and hot stamping machines, and other equipment necessary to maintain a consistent workflow.
  9. Collaborate with Other Departments: Work with other departments, such as planners, stock room, finished goods, technicians, and engineers, to ensure all required materials are available for team members to assemble.
  10. Release Daily Orders: Release daily orders for processing within their respective group, ensuring internal department priorities are aligned and following up with appropriate individuals should issues arise.
  11. Communicate Continuous Improvement Suggestions: Communicate any continuous improvement suggestions to engineering and/or leadership for consideration.
  12. Maintain a Clean and Orderly Work Environment: Follow safety rules and keep work areas in a clean and orderly condition through practicing the 5's.
Minimum Qualifications:

The job requires a high school diploma or equivalent in skills, basic reading and math skills, along with soldering experience. The job requires six months experience, being cross-trained on all steps of the production process, familiarity with parts, part numbers, and company procedures. Must also be able to work with computerized programs such as: ERP system, Turck Connect, Turck Tools, Outlook and Fourth Shift.
