Medical Assistant Lead

At United Vein & Vascular Centers, we're dedicated to providing state-of-the-art, minimally invasive vein and vascular care to our patients. As a Medical Assistant Lead, you'll play a crucial role in our mission to raise the bar for patient service and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
As a Medical Assistant Lead, you'll oversee the competency and appropriateness of Medical Assistant services provided within your assigned market. You'll ensure that Medical Assistants perform high-quality, team-based patient care for both clinical and administrative functions.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the subject matter expert and overseeing Medical Assistant responsibilities and duties within the MA scope of practice in a market.
Oversight of onboarding, competency assessment, and ongoing training of all Medical Assistants in market.
Travel to assigned clinics as requested by supervisor or Medical Assistant Program Manager.
Serving as the trainer and educational resource to Medical Assistants, including training new employees and coaching employees identified as needing additional training.
Providing oversight and final sign-off for new hire Medical Assistants.
Understanding and ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and workflows within scope of practice and scope of responsibility.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
Current certification and maintenance of certification by one of the following: Certified Medical Assistants (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
Minimum of two years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in a patient care setting.
Previous experience as a Lead Medical Assistant strongly preferred.
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS).
