Job Summary

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician at Octopi, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products throughout the production process. Your duties will include performing physical, chemical, and microbiological tests, sampling products, and managing documentation and data associated with these tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily sampling and testing of in-process and finished products.
  • Document test results and ensure they meet client and legal requirements.
  • Work with production, liquid processing, and warehouse teams to ensure finished products meet quality and food safety standards.
  • Organize, transcribe, trend, interpret, and summarize analytical data for historical reference.
  • Communicate results with brewing, cellaring, batching, and packaging team members.
  • Clean, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment.
  • Create and edit standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Work with the Quality Manager and other department heads to meet client needs and expectations.
Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with lab procedures.
  • Understanding and appreciation of aseptic technique.
  • Ability to utilize all five senses to inspect quality.
  • Flexibility with working hours.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with business-related information.
  • Adhere to all PPE and GMP requirements.
  • Ability to lift 55lbs and move 165lbs as needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
