Job Summary:
As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at AdventHealth, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by performing diagnostic procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure. Your expertise will help radiologists and physicians interpret images, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and adjust equipment to perform exams, manually maneuvering transducers to capture high-quality images.
Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures to ensure optimal results.
Perform routine and complex studies, assisting physicians in various imaging procedures.
Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations to provide accurate diagnoses.
Requirements:
Graduate of a 2-year allied health program preferred.
Previous experience required.
BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) and Registry Eligible Medical Sonography Tech certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required.
