Job Title: Licensed Therapist

One Behavioral Health is a virtual mental health clinic that provides clinical services to a diverse client population with mental health needs. Our team consists of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and mental health counselors. We work closely with referral sources such as the Department of Mental Health, local hospitals with inpatient psychiatric programs, and health centers. Our specialty psychiatrists see geriatric patients, adults, adolescents, and children.

Job Summary: We are seeking a licensed therapist to assist in the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric patients in outpatient settings. This includes performing initial and subsequent assessments, medical reports, providing counseling, developing treatment plans, and communicating with patients and their families as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with individuals and groups to improve mental health
  • Encourage clients to discuss emotions and experiences
  • Examine issues including substance abuse, aging, bullying, anger management, careers, depression, relationships, LGBTQ issues, self-image, stress, and suicide
  • Work with families
  • Help clients define goals, plan action, and gain insight
  • Develop therapeutic processes
  • Coordinate care with other providers, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals
  • Take a holistic approach to mental health care

Requirements:

  • Practice in accordance with the laws, rules, and regulations of the State of Texas
  • Practice within the scope of your practice as a counselor and comply with all reasonable requirements of the employer
  • Maintain reasonable availability at scheduled times
  • Keep and maintain appropriate records relating to all professional services rendered
  • Prepare and attend to reports, claims, and correspondence necessary or appropriate in the circumstances
  • Perform all things reasonably desirable and necessary to maintain and improve your professional skills
  • Satisfactorily perform all functions and duties in accordance with the employer's policies and practices

Preferred Qualifications: A Spanish-speaking candidate is preferred for this role.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
