Job Title: RN - Med/Surg - Adults/Peds - PRN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical unit at Mercy Hospital Washington. As a PRN nurse, you will have the opportunity to work a variety of shifts and contribute to the care of our patients.

About the Unit:

Our 30-bed Medical/Surgical unit is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that cares for medical and post-operative patients. We have a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 and work closely with Patient Care Associates to provide exceptional care. Our patient population includes adults and children, with a focus on post-operative care, sepsis, and other medical conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care to adults and children in a fast-paced Medical/Surgical environment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
  • Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods
