Job Summary:

LER TechForce is a leading provider of engineering talent and services, specializing in embedded controls, software, functional safety, and engineering expertise. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Columbus, Indiana.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support for new product design of medical device products within the electrical and electronics expertise. You will work closely with various segments of the business, including marketing, field service, production, purchasing, testing engineering, electrical engineering, codes and standards, and quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and verify various sub-assemblies and assemblies to maintain or improve existing products.
  • Accurately document designs through the creation and maintenance of design requirement specifications, product drawings, component drawings, material specifications, and bills of material in accordance with FDA, UL, and ISO requirements.
  • Complete activities with robust performance through a plan or program.
  • Apply technical competencies in somewhat difficult situations.
  • Generate detailed, high-quality technical documentation to capture and communicate designs.
  • Complete assigned tasks on time with minimal supervision.
  • Inform others proactively about developments or issues that affect their work and their ability to meet commitments.
  • Use collaborative communication style to negotiate win-win outcomes.
  • Debate constructively and accept ideas from others.
  • Tend to be seen as original and value-added in brainstorming sessions.
  • Generate alternative solutions to problems or processes.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience, or comparable experience, with electrical experience in hardware and PCBAs design.
  • Familiarity with design control requirements and test methodologies for UL, FDA, and ISO.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
  • Experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
