The Covington is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, promoting their independence and overall well-being.

**Salary:** $20 per hour + shift differential pay

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote independence while assisting residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, ambulation, and meal service in accordance with their care plans.
  • Encourage socialization and physical activity by transporting or escorting residents to meals, activities, appointments, and outings as required.
  • Respond quickly and courteously to resident calls for emergency and non-emergency assistance.
  • Observe residents regularly and report any changes in their condition to supervisors and nurses on duty, recording changes and observations in electronic medical records.
  • Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal service for assigned residents.

Requirements:

  • High school education preferred, or up to six months related experience and/or training.
  • Must have First Aid certification.
  • Basic computer skills with experience using electronic medical records/charting required.
  • Ability to work as scheduled while demonstrating punctuality and dependability.
  • Must be willing and able to walk for multiple hours per shift with ease.
