POSITION OVERVIEW

Summary:

The Graphic Designer plays a crucial role in creating and overseeing a diverse array of graphic design projects for both print and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and deliver engaging print and digital marketing assets, ensuring compliance with established brand standards.
  • Achieve clients' communication goals through a deep understanding of typography and design principles, developing concepts and detailed layouts while advising clients on optimal strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to generate creative ideas for various projects, initiatives, and campaigns aimed at enhancing brand visibility and loyalty.
  • Foster a workplace culture that reflects the university's core values of compassion, respect, bravery, humility, resilience, curiosity, and empowerment.
  • Manage multiple design assignments, adhering to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Investigate and apply contemporary design trends, including the integration of AI into the design workflow.
  • Oversee project budgets; solicit and evaluate print quotes; prepare files for printing; review proofs and participate in press checks as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in handling a substantial volume of design projects for both print and digital mediums is preferred.
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat Professional.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Canva and content management systems.
