Key Responsibilities

As an Inventory Control Specialist for Maintenance, you will:

  • Ensure timely availability of parts for maintenance needs.
  • Procure maintenance and machine repair components in accordance with OEM specifications and safety standards.
  • Uphold ethical business practices by soliciting quotes from multiple suppliers.
  • Identify and establish cost-effective vendors and suppliers within the USA.
  • Maintain an updated list of suppliers in the maintenance management system.
  • Oversee MP2 Inventory, work orders, equipment, and purchasing modules, collaborating with the system administrator as necessary.
  • Manage spare parts inventory to minimize machine downtime and production losses.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy (1 to 2 weekly).
  • Track parts movement to establish inventory usage history and set minimum/maximum reorder points.
  • Assist and train fellow ALPLA employees in utilizing MP2 inventory and related modules.
  • Handle shipping, receiving, and inventory management of all spare parts.
  • Collaborate with other ALPLA USA facilities to optimize inventory sharing.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; Technical or Trade School preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting is recommended.


Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities; strong numerical aptitude.

Regular lifting and/or moving of up to 10 lbs, frequent lifting/moving of up to 30 lbs, and occasional lifting/moving of more than 50 lbs is expected. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
