Senior Cost Accountant Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate monthly journal entries, including consolidation entries and end-of-month evaluations.
  • Accountable for various reports and narratives required for submissions to management, external Directors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee the typing, proofreading, distribution, and archiving of financial reports.
  • Analyze and prepare costs associated with distribution and storage.
  • Assess and propose enhancements to accounting methodologies and systems.
  • Reconcile and scrutinize intercompany transactions.
  • Offer support and direction to fellow accounting personnel.
  • Assist with unique projects, year-end processes, and related tasks.
  • Conduct inventory reconciliations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience; CPA designation is preferred.
  • Capability to comprehend and adhere to detailed instructions.
  • Ability to operate efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Windows environment with a strong command of Microsoft Applications.
  • Experience with SAP systems is advantageous.

Role Scope and Contribution:

Regular interaction with CF manufacturing sites is expected. Individuals in this role are well-versed in fundamental accounting principles and practices. Under guidance, they implement established methods and procedures to carry out tasks that may vary in complexity. While instructions are comprehensive, individuals are anticipated to operate with greater independence than entry-level accountants.

Internal Controls Compliance:

Demonstrates understanding and adherence to established departmental processes and procedures aimed at supporting internal control initiatives. Identifies and reports any deficiencies in internal controls to department management.
