At Transdev, safety is paramount. All operators will receive the necessary protective gear to perform their duties effectively.

We are currently seeking qualified CDL drivers.

Transdev offers:

Key Responsibilities of the Bus Operator:

  • Safely operate various transit buses or vehicles within a designated service area according to a daily schedule
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections as required
  • Stop at designated locations to pick up and drop off passengers
  • Assist passengers with disabilities, ensuring proper use of mobility aids
  • Report any deviations, incidents, or mechanical issues to dispatch
  • Ensure fare collection and provide necessary information to passengers
  • Inform passengers of rules and regulations as needed
  • Complete and submit reports regarding passengers and incidents
  • Operate on-board computer systems for fare collection and destination displays

Requirements for Bus Operators:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Commercial Learner's Permit (minimum), valid CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years driving experience (personal or professional)
  • No more than two moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work assigned shifts and hours
