Radar Systems Architect

STR is seeking a skilled Radar Mode Architect to support the design, development, and implementation of advanced multi-function Radar systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and specifications for radar modes.
• Design and implement signal processing algorithms to optimize radar performance.
• Support performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing to validate and optimize radar modes.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation and reports.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to convey technical concepts and project updates.

• Active Secret security clearance and eligibility to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Radar Systems, or related technical field.
• Applicable knowledge of technical concepts related to Radar systems and their principles of design and development.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and programming languages (e.g., C++, Python, Rust, etc.).
• Capable of working in a team environment and interacting with team members to ensure effective communication and alignment.

• Active Top Secret clearance.
• Working knowledge with algorithm optimization for real-time systems, especially radar and/or remote sensing.
• Applicable knowledge of target detection and tracking.
• Domain experience in Electronic Warfare, Antenna Apertures, Sensor Resource Management, Large-Scale Platform Test Systems, Cyber Physical Systems, Open System Architectures (UCI, OMS, COARPS).
