Radar Mode Architect Job Description

STR is seeking a skilled Radar Mode Architect to support the design, development, and implementation of advanced multi-function Radar systems. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with fellow researchers and engineers to develop innovative solutions in areas of focus including exploration and demonstration of Radar and EW/RF convergence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of innovative radar mode architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and specifications for radar modes
  • Design and implement signal processing algorithms
  • Support performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and reports
Requirements:
  • Active Secret security clearance and eligibility for Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Radar Systems, or related technical field
  • Applicable knowledge of technical concepts related to Radar systems and their principles of design and development
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and programming languages
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Working knowledge with algorithm optimization for real-time systems
  • Applicable knowledge of target detection and tracking
