Machine Builder

We are seeking a skilled Machine Builder to join our team at Hughes Resources. As a Machine Builder, you will be responsible for the assembly of new machines, rebuilding of old machines, and modifications to either, as well as producing subassemblies.

• Read and understand multiple level blueprints, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials lists, and part lists to perform required service.
• Read pneumatic schematics and understand pneumatic applications.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Have knowledge related to PLC's, HMI, VFD's and Direct Automation.
• Perform checkout on machines, along with installation and service of equipment at customer facilities.
• Examine machines and equipment in root cause analysis troubleshooting and performance analysis.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of related mechanical assembly experience.
• Knowledge and experience with electrical equipment: single and three phase, 110v and 24v controls, prints and schematics.
• Knowledge and experience with manufacturing equipment.
• Mechanical knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, pneumatic & hydraulic repairs.
• Ability to do some panel wiring and understanding of wire schematics with some supervision.
• Intermediate experience and knowledge with Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to operate a mill, lathe, band saw, and small surface grinders.
• Ability to alternate from one project to the other based on need.
