Position Title: Business Systems Analyst

Position Overview

The Business Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing the functionality of the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system utilized for student information management. Reporting directly to the Director of ERP Functional Support and Analysis, this position collaborates closely with various academic units to deliver specialized technical analysis and support, with a primary focus on the Student Records module.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with academic departments to facilitate effective communication and assess operational needs.
  • Support the academic units in fulfilling their functional requirements.
  • Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and technical analysis of system modules.
  • Conduct data analysis, execute queries, and set up automation for data processing.
  • Triage and troubleshoot technical issues within the PeopleSoft system and related applications.
  • Provide support for local reporting needs and assist users as required.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify and address technical requirements.
  • Assist in the deployment of new technical enhancements and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • Manage and validate data integrity, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. The role is classified as non-exempt under FLSA regulations. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on operational needs.

Department Overview

The Information Technology Division is integral to the university's mission, providing essential technology services across various departments. The ERP Systems unit is responsible for managing critical enterprise-level systems, including PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, which supports the university's academic and administrative functions.

Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in technical business and systems analysis.
  • Experience in supporting ERP applications, preferably in higher education.
  • General knowledge of user support and the development of workflows.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft CMS or similar ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in PSQuery or other database languages for data extraction.
  • Understanding of higher education enrollment processes and systems.
