Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist at Bryan Health, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in diagnosing patient medical problems. You will be responsible for performing diagnostic x-ray procedures, using x-ray technology and techniques to produce high-quality images. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong communication and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic x-ray procedures, including radiography of chest, extremities, skull and sinus, spine, ankle and foot, and abdomen.
  • Practice radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
  • Use sterile technique as required.
  • Optimally demonstrate patient anatomy through proper positioning and selection of technical factors.
  • Competently operate all diagnostic x-ray equipment and support systems.
  • Utilize department computer systems, files, EMR, and PACS to review patient history and provide accurate documentation of studies.
  • Properly care for and image patients of all ages and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Coordinate exams within the department and with other departments to provide expedient and complete care.
  • Communicate with medical staff, coworkers, patients, families, and other hospital staff to assure quality patient care.
  • Participate in the department's quality improvement plan as assigned.
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment as necessary.
  • Notify supervisor of equipment problems.
  • Keep work area properly supplied.
  • Access and administer drugs and biologicals that are pertinent to essential job functions in accordance with Medical Center procedures.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.
  • Participate in meetings, committees, and department projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Valid Temporary State Medical Radiographer license.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
