About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center (DMC). As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our patients.

Job Summary

This is a full-time night shift position, with approximately 36 hours per week. You will work on the 5 West unit, which serves a variety of patient types, including heart monitoring, observation, general medical/surgical, oncology/chemo, medical psychiatry, and palliative/hospice.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medications, and treatments
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
  • At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Salary and Benefits
