Job Title: Assistant Director

Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Director to join our team. As a key member of our PROS program, you will be responsible for supervising program staff and interns, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services.

Responsibilities:
  • Orient, train, and provide clinical and task supervision to program staff and interns
  • Oversee the maintenance of participant records, including timely documentation as required by Medicaid, Medicare, and the Office of Mental Health
  • Act as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team, facilitating weekly administrative, clinical, and utilization review meetings
  • Assist with billing preparation and management of insurance eligibility to maximize reimbursement for services rendered
  • Coordinate special projects related to treatment services, quality assurance, billing, and intake
  • Develop training and guidance materials to ensure staff competence and program continuity
  • Oversee the employment services division of the program, including data tracking and submission, Ticket-to-Work program management, and NYESS system data entry
  • Provide direct individual and group clinical services and case management, as needed
  • Participate in agency-wide groups and meetings as required
Qualifications:
  • LCSW, LCSW-eligible, LMHC, or LCAT
  • LCSW with SIFI certificate
  • Three years post-graduate experience in mental health or a closely related field
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Computer literate with familiarity with Microsoft office suite, Google suite, and Zoom
