Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization in McPherson County. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic plan, leading fundraising efforts, and managing day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Direction
    • Work with the Board to ensure mission achievement through a multi-year strategic plan.
    • Establish critical action plans and progress metrics to ensure and report progress.
    • Lead and direct execution of strategic action plans, holding action item owners accountable.
  • Fundraising, Communications, and Visibility
    • Provide opportunities for donors, volunteers, and advocates to get involved in and support causes.
    • Enhance, strengthen, and diversify contributed and earned revenue streams.
    • Conduct public speaking and community outreach to build increased visibility and funding.
  • General Management, Finance, and Administration
    • Ensure day-to-day operations and programs are professionally and efficiently organized.
    • Maintain the organization's fiscal health and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Oversee annual campaign reconciliations and collection of pledge receivables.
  • Board Relations
    • Become familiar with and advance the organization's Governance Policies.
    • Develop, recommend, and implement policies, program goals, and objectives.
    • Provide ongoing communication to the Board on critical matters.
  • Partner Agency Engagement and Relations
    • Develop and continue to foster mutual respect between the organization and Partner Agencies.
    • Advance, strengthen, and continue to develop clear performance and reporting expectations.
    • Facilitate a consistent, efficient, and effective allocation process.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, social sciences, or related field.
  • Experience
    • 1-3 years of experience in non-profit or another relevant environment.
  • Skills
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Online.
