The Clinical Laboratory Specialist is responsible for conducting analyses on blood and bodily fluids to identify the presence of diseases, monitor treatment effectiveness, and support overall health management. This role serves as a technical guide for less experienced personnel and aids in the training of new or less credentialed staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and recognize when service is required.
- Utilize critical thinking and clinical expertise to evaluate questionable results and correlate them with clinical data to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, or a related discipline.
- Preferred experience in a relevant specialty.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) from ASCP or equivalent.
- MLS (ASCP) CM, or MT, AMT certification is required.
