We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon Educator to join our team at the University of Pennsylvania.
About the RoleThis is an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track, requiring expertise in cardiothoracic surgery. The successful candidate will be a member of Penn's Division of Cardiovascular Surgery and will practice primarily at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities- Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students, surgical residents, and fellows.
- Clinical responsibilities may include supporting the multidisciplinary valve program and TAVR and in- and out-patient care of patients with thoracic aortic disease and valvular and coronary artery disease.
- Research or scholarship responsibilities may include participation in clinical research on topics in the field of adult cardiac surgery and thoracic aortic disease.
The successful candidate must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and be certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery or foreign equivalent or eligible for such certification.
