REPORTS TO: Security Manager

STATUS: Non-Exempt

The Security Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safety and security of the hotel premises, ensuring a secure environment for both guests and staff. This role involves monitoring designated areas to prevent loss or damage, and taking proactive measures to deter any threats to individuals or property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Security Manager in evaluating daily event reports to determine necessary security coverage, ensuring that all assignments are efficiently allocated.
  • Prepare and manage the security shift schedule, accommodating requests for time off while maintaining adequate coverage.
  • Conduct daily reviews of patrol logs to ensure compliance with security protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the management of key control and communication devices, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly accounted for.
  • Compile and analyze monthly and annual security statistics to support safety initiatives and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
  • CPR Certification is mandatory.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform various physical tasks, including patrolling the premises and handling equipment.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items as necessary.

Mental Requirements:

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new security practices and procedures.
  • Ability to identify potential hazards and recommend improvements to safety protocols.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure compliance with safety and security policies among all hotel staff.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of security training programs.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents and assist in investigations as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address safety concerns.
