Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Western & Southern Financial Group. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure working environment for our associates and protecting our company assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to security alarms and access control systems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both inside and outside, to detect and prevent potential security threats.
  • Operate CCTV systems and radios to stay informed and respond to security incidents.
  • Control access to company property and ensure that all visitors and associates are properly identified and cleared.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of security incidents and activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall security and safety of the company.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience in a security or law enforcement role, preferably with a military, state, county, or municipal police agency or private police training.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and use good judgment in day-to-day responsibilities and in emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with the ability to climb stairs, reach, bend, kneel, and crouch as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent changes in priorities and deadlines. The Security Officer will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may be required to work in extreme weather conditions.
