Position Overview:
The Professional Pilot Technology Department at Vermont State University is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time faculty role. This position involves teaching a course focused on the innovative field of electric aviation.

Course Details:
The selected instructor will lead AER 2710 Special Topics in Aviation, where students will explore the latest advancements in electric aviation technologies. This course offers a unique opportunity for students to engage with hands-on flight simulators and interact with industry professionals, including engineers and pilots.

Learning Objectives:
Students will:
1. Investigate ongoing research and development in electric aviation.
2. Understand the regulatory and policy challenges currently facing the industry.
3. Participate in an interactive and dynamic learning environment.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a background in aviation or engineering, with prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred. While pilot certification is not mandatory, familiarity with electric aircraft is advantageous. A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience are required.

Compensation:
Salary will be determined based on the number of credits previously taught, in accordance with the VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
