Job Title: Chief Operating Officer

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer to lead our operations, drive growth, and enhance efficiency across our media and entertainment businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of day-to-day operations, including production, distribution, technology, and facilities management.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency, streamline workflows, and maximize productivity.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Implement cost control measures and resource allocation strategies to maximize operational efficiency and ROI.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams to drive growth and expand market share.
  • Lead negotiations and manage key relationships with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders to drive business growth and market penetration.
  • Oversee the production pipeline and content development processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and commercially successful entertainment products.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence within production teams to continually elevate content offerings and consumer engagement.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency, content delivery, and audience engagement.
  • Champion digital transformation initiatives and leverage emerging technologies to enhance content distribution, audience engagement, and operational efficiencies.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, creativity, and professional growth.
Requirements:
  • 20+ years of progressive experience in the media and entertainment industry, with the last 5+ years as a COO.
  • B.A. or B.S. in Business Administration, Management, or other related field of study. M.B.A. or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Broad and deep operational experience at a publicly held portfolio company.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with a track record of driving operational excellence and achieving financial targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strategic viewpoint with the ability to anticipate risks and opportunities.
  • A proven leader and influencer, with experience in aligning and building teams and inspiring an organization.
  • A collaborative, yet natural decision maker.
  • An arsenal of hard and soft skills, including communication, persuasion, and discretion.
