POSITION: CATERING AND EVENTS MANAGER

REPORTS TO: OWNER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all operational elements of both off-site catering and in-house events.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Assess catering opportunities to enhance revenue and profitability while meeting client expectations.
  • Ensure sales and profits are maintained or exceeded in all catering segments.
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of effective marketing strategies aimed at boosting catering and event revenues.
  • Research competitors' offerings and pricing to inform strategic planning.
  • Engage in sales activities across diverse market segments.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships to secure repeat business.
  • Participate actively in industry associations and networking events.
  • Conduct site visits and presentations for potential clients.
  • Engage in trade shows and promotional events to enhance visibility.
  • Involve in community activities to foster local engagement and create booking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative setups, menus, and event functions.
  • Manage all catering event orders and ensure presence during events.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in catering software and applications, particularly Gather, Word, and Excel.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for work.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
