Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Driller to join our team at Olsson. As a Geotechnical Driller, you will be responsible for assisting drilling staff, senior technicians, engineers, surveyors, and construction managers in providing drilling services.

This role requires a strong understanding of drilling operations, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. You will be working on large drilling projects with multiple contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a safe working environment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in drilling or the construction industry, with a strong background in soil classifications and characteristics. You will also be required to obtain and maintain railroad and safety certifications, as well as a commercial driving license (CDL).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist drilling staff in performing drilling assignments under moderate direction and supervision.
  • Prepare daily reports and maintain accurate records of drilling activities.
  • Set up and monitor the safety and efficiency of drilling operations.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in drilling or the construction industry.
  • Ability to lift minimum 50lbs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain railroad and safety certifications.
  • Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and obtain a commercial driving license (CDL).
