About the Role

Williams is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Specialist IV/V to join our team. As an Environmental Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing environmental risk, regular environmental planning, scheduling, and cost estimating. You will handle resources, develop strategy for projects, and report achievements.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and mitigate environmental risks related to air permitting
  • Lead the implementation of approved actions and create necessary regulatory documentation
  • Coordinate environmental planning, scheduling, and cost estimation for operational and project support, including environmental impact assessments
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including through industry associations and communities of practice
  • Regularly solicit and incorporate feedback to ensure high-quality environmental support
  • Provide guidance and mentor others
  • Prepare and submit sophisticated applications to procure environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances, and other authorizations and coordinate with company partners
  • Perform environmental compliance audits and due diligence investigations, as the need arises
  • Identify environmental training needs and provide training
  • Develop, recommend, and implement improvements for systems and practices in air, permitting activities for assigned areas
  • Prepare and submit all required compliance reports/certifications; develop and maintain documentation related to environmental compliance programs
  • Cultivate relationships between Williams and regulatory agencies
  • Interpret applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations and ensure compliance with such regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Environmental Specialist IV: Bachelor's degree and minimum eight (8) years' environmental experience
  • Environmental Specialist V: Bachelor's degree and minimum fifteen (15) years of multifaceted environmental experience
  • Preferred: Minimum ten (10) years' experience in environmental soil and groundwater assessment and remediation at CERCLA (Superfund) and RCRA sites
  • Knowledge of Clean Air Act regulations as applied to Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania
  • Preferred: Experience with facility operations and working with local Operations EHS specialists
  • Ability to interpret regulations (existing and proposed) and provide guidance to project teams on compliance
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
