Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating all functions within the unit/department during designated shifts. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serving as a resource for staff and embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to support exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Engages in ongoing assessments of the quality of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
  • Works with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that enhances outcomes and service.
  • Promotes a patient-first philosophy and participates in service recovery when necessary.
  • Supports facility engagement efforts by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
  • Provides input on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements training and development initiatives, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to ensure a competitive organization.
  • Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor aspects in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
  • Ensures proper inventory control and assists in managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Registered Nurse Diploma.
