Job Title: Senior Interior Design Coordinator

The Senior Interior Design Coordinator will work with our Interior Design Manager and Architecture team to complete projects, utilizing sound knowledge of interior design practices. We utilize advanced 3D modeling tools in our design process, so experience with Sketchup, Revit, Photoshop, and other software is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate on all phases of the design process, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, document preparation, and construction administration.
  • Work with architects, project managers, and other designers to develop interior design concepts for commercial projects.
  • Develop interiors concepts based on client vision, project scope, and architectural concept.
  • Create renderings and visual presentations that convey design concepts to clients, as well as generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction.
  • Provide design support and implementation documentation during completion and execution of design concepts.
  • Participate in and assist with leading design presentations internally and externally.
  • Effectively collaborate on implementation documentation and convey design requirements and solutions to the broader design and construction team.
  • Participate in selecting and presenting furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting to incorporate responsible and sustainable design practices.
  • Coordinate and participate in client presentations.
  • Incorporate integrated sustainable design solutions into projects.
  • Communicate with vendors and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provide support as necessary.
  • Coordinate with the project team on review and approval of final interior and exterior programming, design development documents, construction documents, furnishings selections, and purchases, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Communicate with other disciplines, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators and contractors to incorporate all information into project requirements.
  • Incorporate integrated sustainable design solutions into projects.
  • Mentor junior interior designers.
  • Participate in the business development process by identifying new opportunities, marketing current clients for repeat business, and assisting with proposals.
About You

A reliable Senior Interior Design Coordinator with an understanding of complex aspects of interior design, a passion for getting things done, and uncompromising authenticity and integrity. An individual with an interest in the integrated project delivery method and innovation in process improvement and technology will be an ideal candidate for this position.

Requirements
  • A degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in healthcare interior design.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to interior design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of target value design and ability to collaborate with the preconstruction team.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based design principles.
