We're actively recruiting an Interior Designer to join our collaborative and innovative Education Studio in Dallas. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated designer looking to showcase their creative talents across challenging and unique projects.

Responsibilities

As an Interior Designer at Corgan, you'll have the opportunity to tackle a wide range of project responsibilities and leadership roles. You'll work alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate on a variety of projects in scale and scope. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in all phases of the design process on various projects
  • Generating creative design solutions within functional project parameters
  • Fostering productive partnerships with clients and project delivery teams through regular communication and collaboration
  • Utilizing appropriate software at a proficient level to create graphics and presentation materials
  • Supporting the integration of the design process with other workflows and project tasks
  • Collaborating with project teams as concept champions throughout the project
  • Executing coordination and integration of architectural and consultant documents
  • Applying knowledge of construction methods and timelines
  • Maintaining awareness of and appropriately applying new methodologies, practices, codes, and products
  • Contributing to the selection of materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment
  • Actively contributing to the production of major components of a thorough set of construction documents
  • Assisting with contract administration responsibilities
  • Conducting field verification and site visits as needed

Qualifications

Qualified designers already exhibit these strengths and talents:

  • A degree from a CIDA-accredited Interior Design program or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial design; education experience strongly preferred
  • Holds state registration for interior design or process already started
  • Displays strong design portfolio showing strengths in conceptual design, space planning skills, and detailing
  • Revit proficiency and technical excellence
  • Interest in sustainable design
  • Professional registration or anticipation of registration
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible attitude
  • Ability to collaborate in a diverse project team environment
  • Confident presentation ability
