Overview: This temporary, non-benefited role is dedicated to delivering patient care, health education, and counseling within an oncology environment, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN). The position aims to tailor patient care to support individuals in coping with their health challenges and achieving optimal wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine nursing tasks and procedures.
  • Conduct screenings, venipuncture, and oversee plateletpheresis and whole blood donation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal safety regulations for donors and products.
  • Engage in professional development through educational programs, literature review, and workshops.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $53,347 and $64,330 annually, which includes a base salary and geographic differential.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Valid license or permit to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Experience in an ambulatory care setting.
  • Familiarity with oncology patient care.
  • Degree in a health-related discipline.
