We are seeking a qualified LVN/LPN to join our healthcare team at New Hope Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cedar Park, Texas. As a full-time employee, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents and their families.
Responsibilities:- Supervise the total nursing activities during each worked shift
- Recognize significant changes in the condition of residents and take necessary action
- Have working knowledge of all residents under your care
- Understand assignments for nursing assistants and supervise their work
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Ensure comprehensive care plans are followed to meet residents' needs
- Recommend changes as needed in staff and confer with Director of Nursing
- Transcribe physician orders and follow up on lab work
- Provide accurate, daily charting and be aware of legal and ethical implications of your duty
- Be courteous to residents and their families and respond in an appropriate professional manner
- Graduate of a state-approved school of vocational or professional nursing
- Current state license as a vocational or registered nurse
- Ability to work well with others and overlook personal preferences
- Use of initiative and good judgment
- Awareness of the needs and desires of others
- Ability to work well with the elderly and their special needs
