Job Summary

As a Landscape Construction Superintendent at MALDONADO NURSERY AND LANDSCAPING INC, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction, renovation, and maintenance of assigned contracts. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all construction services are delivered according to contract specifications, within budget, and on schedule.
  • Evaluate project site conditions, including topographies and soil conditions, and report to the project manager prior to commencement of work.
  • Responsible for dispatch of labor and equipment to job sites.
  • Recommend staff changes, promotions, wage adjustments, and staffing limits to the Branch/Project Manager.
  • Attend and assist with internal scheduling and preconstruction and production meetings.
  • Communicate with the contract administrator and project/branch manager regarding applicable permits, utility locates, and inspections prior to execution.
  • Confirm plants are suitable for application as per drawings and specs.
  • Evaluate project and organize RFI's if any question exists that needs architect approval.
  • Review all plans, specifications, and estimates and bring any issues regarding materials or budgets to the preconstruction meeting.
  • Familiarize yourself with plans, details, and specs prior to start of job and preorder materials as needed.
  • Daily collection of all receipts/bills of lading for all materials delivered to projects.
  • Manage sourcing and procurement for materials on projects.
  • Responsible for approving, coding, and submitting material invoices in a timely manner.
  • Conduct 'inhouse' walk through upon completion of each job, to include assembly and completion of punchlist items in preparation for substantial completion walkthrough.
  • Submit all change order information to the Project Manager for submittal to owner.
  • Manage equipment/truck database and ensure routine maintenance occurs and is logged.
  • Manage all crews GPS and driver safety scorecards, provide recommendations to project manager for any driver warnings and write ups.
  • Responsible for ensuring all crews have returned to the office and ensuring all trucks and gates are secured.
