Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Pharmacist-In-Charge, this role requires adherence to local, state, and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in addressing pharmacy service-related inquiries and issues in line with company protocols, ensuring a positive customer interaction.
  • Responsible for managing incoming communications from customers and healthcare providers, as well as overseeing the assessment of prescriptions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for Schedule II controlled substances.
  • Participate in relevant meetings as needed.
  • Support the training and development of pharmacy staff.
  • Adhere to and promote company policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed about advancements in the pharmacy profession.
  • Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide drug information in response to inquiries.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid Pharmacist License in good standing (RPh).
  • Capability to obtain licensure in multiple states as necessary.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of laws related to drug storage, recordkeeping, and dispensing.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, demonstrating patience and courtesy.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks or interruptions simultaneously.
  • Team-oriented, capable of collaborating with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet daily deadlines.
  • Competent in performing repetitive tasks with accuracy.
