Pharmacist in Charge

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead our specialty pharmacy team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting with all pharmacy operations, ensuring excellence in patient care, and managing the pharmacy team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and assist with all pharmacy operations, including prescription intake, benefits investigations, prior authorizations, and prescription fulfillment.
  • Ensure excellence in patient care and manage the pharmacy team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement pharmacy standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with SOPs.
  • Monitor and develop training materials to support the staff and ensure they are proficient in pharmacy processes and systems.
  • Drive process improvement through setting agendas and targets in consultation with specialty pharmacy leadership.
  • Actively contribute to the strategic planning and achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for scheduling, developing, coaching, training, and directing department personnel.
  • Effectively communicate information to the staff and supervisors in an open and timely manner.
  • Handle pharmacy service-related complaints and concerns in accordance with company policy and promote a positive customer experience.
Requirements:
  • B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
  • Licensed pharmacist eligible to hold pharmacist-in-charge designation.
  • Five years of experience in pharmacy practicing as a pharmacist.
  • Experience in a specialty pharmacy is preferred.
  • Proficient with pharmacy processes and systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
