Sterile Processing Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Northwest Tucson Surgery Center. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of surgical instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of the sterilization process, including decontamination, assembly, packaging, and biological and chemical monitoring of sterilizers.
  • Act as a resource to the operating room staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Requisition all autoclaving supplies, instruments, and implantable devices used in the daily operation of the department.
  • Sterilize, clean, wrap, store, and distribute supplies, instruments, and equipment used in patient care.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of Central Sterilization experience.
