The Vehicle Emissions Testing Technician is responsible for conducting emissions assessments on vehicles, which includes evaluating exhaust emissions, performing road tests, and executing various tests within a controlled climatic chamber. This role is essential in ensuring the precision and reliability of test outcomes, managing both physical and digital test data, and communicating all findings to the Emissions Lab Manager for comprehensive analysis and feedback. Additionally, the technician will be tasked with verifying the calibration of emission testing instruments and operating test cell systems effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
* Regularly operate vehicles on a dynamometer, requiring specialized training.
* Primarily seated at a desk or within a test vehicle.
* Occasionally engage in walking, standing, or bending, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 100 pounds.

Work Flexibility:
* Shifts may vary between 6 AM - 3 PM and 3 PM - 12 AM, with a mandatory PM shift for half the year. Candidates must be willing to work both shifts as needed.
* The work schedule will align with business needs, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, including possible Saturday shifts and overtime.

Experience Required:
This position is ideal for entry-level candidates eager to learn and grow within the automotive sector. Previous experience in the automotive industry (1-3 years) is preferred but not mandatory.

Education Required:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills Required:
* Proficient in driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
* Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications.
* Highly organized and reliable.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Recent experience in the automotive field.
* Strong command of the English language.

Desired Skills:
* Familiarity with emission testing protocols.
* Formal training in customer service.
* Extensive diagnostic experience, including the use of VAS testers.
* Proficiency in German and/or Spanish is a plus.
* Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office applications.
