Job Summary

American Hardwood Industries, a leading supplier of hardwood logs, lumber, and wood countertops, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at our Everett, PA location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance team in providing exceptional support to production operations, ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Develop and implement a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program to drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Collaborate with management to investigate, evaluate, plan, and implement a LEAN integrated maintenance system across two company divisions.
  • Schedule and allocate maintenance resources to meet production demands and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Enhance Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) capabilities to optimize maintenance operations.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) visioning and weekly management performance meetings to drive business growth.
  • Lead maintenance performance towards Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of maintenance/plant engineering experience in a production environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a team of at least five direct reports.
  • OSHA safety certification and understanding of facility rules, LOTO, PPE, and machinery safety.
  • Welding skills, including stick welding experience.
  • Sawmill equipment alignment and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Hydraulic trouble-shooting skills.
  • Computer skills with maintenance systems.
  • Ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics/drawings and experience with programmable industrial drives and troubleshooting skills.
  • Project management capability.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with various levels of the organizational hierarchy.
  • Ability to define, collect, research, analyze, and report data-based maintenance performance.
