Position Overview at RFCUNY

Are you dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals in your community? RFCUNY is seeking a meticulous Support Coordinator focused on Adult and ESL services. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including engaging with participants, formulating service strategies, and connecting individuals with appropriate resources and programs.

  • Oversee a caseload while ensuring the confidentiality of records
  • Assist clients in navigating external services and coordinating transportation
  • Organize workshops, meetings, and follow-up sessions with participants
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and participate in team meetings
  • Offer support in resume writing and interview preparation
  • Facilitate access to community resources and manage intake processes
  • Record participant data in the designated State portal
  • Work schedule includes Monday to Thursday with two evenings

Additional Responsibilities

Perform any other tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Director.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish or English/French is advantageous
  • 2-3 years of pertinent experience
  • Self-motivated with strong collaborative skills
  • Familiarity with public assistance programs and low-income housing options
  • Proficient in computer usage with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
