We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Preschool Teacher/Instructor to join our team at the City of Cape Coral. As a contract employee, you will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of children aged 3-5 years old.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of participants during programs and activities.
- Provide excellent customer service to parents and guardians, communicating daily with them in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective program.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including attendance, progress, and incident reports.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent certification required.
- Emergent Literacy for VPK instructor's course completed.
- Two years or more of experience in a child-related field preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with children, parents, and colleagues. The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations is essential.
