Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perinatology Department Supervisor to join our team at OSF HealthCare. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise physicians and/or advanced practice providers, providing feedback, mentorship, and evaluation to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Monitor operational effectiveness, reviewing quality, safety, and financial metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage patient access and throughput, communicating plans and goals to the team and elevating barriers to one-up leadership.
  • Provide a superior patient experience by actively reviewing results and educating others on achieving excellent outcomes.
  • Communicate regularly with direct reports on organizational initiatives, local performance, and clinical issues.
  • Attend councils/committees and champion improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in provider recruiting and lead onboarding initiatives to efficiently develop new providers.
Requirements
  • Master's degree as an APRN or PA.
  • License to practice as an APRN or PA in the applicable state.
  • Board certification as APRN or PA.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an APRN or PA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree as an APRN or PA.
  • Certification in area of specialty.
  • Leadership experience in an integrated delivery health system.
